Parent Consultation

Parent Consultation

Parent Consultations provide an opportunity for parents or caregivers to discuss their child’s development in more depth, without their child needing to be present. These consultations are designed to support families who want time and space to ask questions, reflect, and gain clarity around developmental concerns, next steps, or practical supports.

Consultations can take place by phone or in person, depending on your preference.

What a Parent Consultation may include

Parent Consultations are flexible and guided by what feels most helpful for you. Topics may include:

  • Understanding aspects of your child’s development
  • Sensory, motor, or coordination concerns
  • How movement and regulation can support learning and participation
  • Strategies to support your child at home or in everyday routines
  • Navigating school or preschool physical education (PE) and participation
  • Support with applications such as the Domiciliary Care Allowance
  • Discussing reports, recommendations, or next steps
  • Any other topic you would like to explore in more detail

These consultations are conversational, supportive, and focused on helping you feel more informed and confident.

Who are Parent Consultations suitable for?
